Find Your Voice

This short course starts on Thursday March 24, 2022, from 7 - 9pm and runs for 6 weeks, Cost $199

Find Your Voice returns, this time with DIME instructor, Lulu Fall, bringing her wealth of experience to this popular class. Learn about vocal techniques, performance skills, singing styles, and how to choose the right song! This class is available for students age 16 and up, and while we welcome all skill levels, please remember that this class leads up to a performance at the end of the week, so is best suited for intermediate level vocalists.

Demo Your Song

This short course starts on Thursday March 24, 2022, from 7 - 9pm and runs for 6 weeks, Cost $199

Learn the basics of music production using a DAW (digital audio workstation). Learn about MIDI, recording, microphones, interfaces, and even copyright and publishing to create and protect your recordings. Students will learn how to analyze and communicate their songwriting ideas, and dive into songwriting methodology, and write/ record a demo song together as a group.

This course is for someone who is a beginner, and also for people who are self-taught and want to
expand their skills and work within a group.

DJ-ing Skills

This short course starts on Thursday March 24, 2022, from 7 - 9pm and runs for 6 weeks, Cost $199

Taught by Spin Inc. founder, Ron Johnson aka. DJ Jungle, this is an in-depth version of the introductory pilot course, which includes hands-on instruction from Detroit DJs. Topics to be discussed will include: History of DJing, equipment setup, BPM, song structure, blending, beat matching, harmonic mixing and more. At the end of the course,students will have a chance to mix a short set and receive feedback on their progress. Studentswill work with a combination of turntables and midi- controllers

Re-imagining Your Music Career

This short course starts on Thursday March 24, 2022, from 7 - 9pm and runs for 6 weeks, Cost $199

If your music career recently got turned upside down, you are not alone. This class, taught by Music Industry Studies instructor Steph Belcher, will be a hands-on workshop to help you reimagine and rebuild your career post-Covid-19, with clarity and intention. Each lesson will meet you where you are and guide you through the process of "getting back out there" in a way that makes sense for you and your community of fans. We will examine where we left off, what's been working for us lately, and how we can create art, build community, and change lives with our music.  Topics will include marketing, social media, artwork, live shows and more!
